The cathedral of Jaén, Andrés de Vandelvira's masterpiece and source of inspiration for the construction of many cathedrals in Latin America, is considered one of the most notable works of the Renaissance in Andalusia, hence the process to get its declaration a few years ago as World Heritage by UNESCO.
